| Abstract | هذا نمط مهم من البحث يكاد أن يكون نادرًا أو غائبًا – في حدود ما نعلم – عن ساحة أبحاث النحو العربية. وهو يتناول بالبيان والتعليق والنقد الفصل الخاص بدراسة مظهر تراكيب العربية، الذي ورد في كتاب المستشرق أو الباحث الأمريكي المعاصر ديفيد جستس )محاسن العربية في المرآة الغربية أو دلالة الشكل في العربية في ضوء اللغات الأوروبية( حيث يتبنى فيه الدفاع عن اللغة العربية عامة ضد التحيز الغربي، من خلال دراسة أنماط استعمالاتها التي من أهمها جانب التراكيب. بعد المقدمة المعرّفة والموطّئة لدراسة جستس التقابلية المقارنِة، ثلاثةُ مباحث رئيسة تنظم عِقْد البحث، الأول: "منهج جستس في دراسة التراكيب ومصادره"، حيث يكون الحديث عن متوسط النموذج الأوروبي وغيره من المعايير، إلى جانب ما يتعلق بالمصادر. والمبحث الثاني: "عرض المسائل ومناقشتها"، وهنا تُقسّم مسائل دراسة جستس لتراكيب العربية – من وجهة نظرنا – إلى ثلاثة أقسام، من حيث الاتفاق أو الاختلاف معه. والمبحث الثالث: "تعليقات عامة ونقد"، ويثير هذا المبحث الختامي قضايا وخصائص تركيبية عربية على قدر كبير من الأهمية، توجب الحديث عن الكليات اللسانية والتصنيف النوعي وموقع العربية من ذلك، إضافة إلى تقويم دراسة جستس من ناحية أخرى، هي مقارنة عمله بدراستين أخريين عن العربية للمستشرقَينِ هنري فليش وستتكيفتش. |

| Alternative Abstract | This is an important type of research that is almost rare or absent - as far as we know - from the field of Arabic grammar research. It explains, comments on, and critiques the chapter on the shape of Arabic syntax included in the book (The Semantics of Form in Arabic in the Mirror of European languages) by the Orientalist and contemporary American scholar David Justice, in which he defense the Arabic language in general against Western bias by studying its patterns of use, one of the most important of which is the aspect of syntax. After the preparatory introduction to the contrastive/comparative study of Justice, there are three main areas organizing the sections of this research. The first section is “the methodology and sources adopted by Justice in the study of structures", in which we discuss the Standard Average European and other measures. The second section is "Presentation and discussion of issues", where we divide the Arabic syntax structures studied by Justice into three categories-from our point of view- in terms of our agreement or disagreement with him. The third section is "General Comments and Criticism". This final section highlights Arabic syntactic and structural features that are of great importance and necessitate the discussion about language universals and the typological classification of languages and the position of the Arabic language in them. In addition to these sections, Justice’s study is assessed by comparing it to two other studies of Arabic by the orientalists Henry Flesh and Jeroslav Stetkevich |
