| Abstract | تهدف الدراسة إلى استكشاف تجربة التحول المعرفي من العلوم الطبيعية إلى العلوم الاجتماعية، وما تشكّل لدى أصحابها من خبرة فريدة في التعاطي المباشر مع تخصصين من مجالين مختلفين، ومعاينة أثرها على المستويات الشخصية والعلمية والمهنية، والتحديات التي واجهتهم. ودورها في تحصيل رؤية مختلفة للعلوم الاجتماعية وأهميتها في العالم العربي، من زاوية نظر لم يتم التعامل معها من قبل. وستكون للدراسة فائدة عند تصميم الخطط والبرامج المعنية بتطوير العلوم عامة، والعلوم الاجتماعية على وجه التحديد. استخدمت الدراسة أداة المقابلة غير المتزامنة، بلغ حجم العينة القصدية (35) مشاركا من عدة دول عربية. تم استخدام برنامج MAXQDA لتحليل البيانات موضوعاتيا. أكّدت النتائج أن تجارب التحوّل إيجابية بالمجمل مع بعض التحديات البسيطة، فقد ساعدت المشاركين على تحقيق ذواتهم على المستوى الشخصي، واكتساب رؤية جديدة للعالم. أما على المستوى المهني فنعكس على التطور الوظيفي، وتطوير العلاقات المهنية. على المستوى العلمي، أكسبت تجربة التحول لأصحابها نظرة شمولية للمعارف ومهارات بحثية بينية وتطوير مهارات البحث والكتابة والتحليل عموما. أغلب التحديات كانت وظيفية متعلقة بفرص الحصول على مهنة جديدة، وضعف رواتب العمل في قطاع العلوم الاجتماعية إلا أن هذه التحديات متعلقة في البدايات فقط. قدم المشاركون رؤيتهم لأهمية العلوم الاجتماعية للعلوم الأخرى وللأفراد والمجتمعات والدول والحكومات، وقدموا مقترحاتهم لتعزيز مكانة العلوم الاجتماعية. |

| Alternative Abstract | The study aims to explore the phenomenon of knowledge transformation from natural sciences to social sciences, and the experience of engaging directly with two different majors. The study examines the impact of the majors’ transference on personal, scientific, and professional levels and its importance to individuals, societies, countries, and governments. Moreover, the study will help to build a different vision for social sciences and its importance in the Arab world from a new point of view. The study used the asynchronous interview tool with a sample size of (35) participants from Arab countries. MAXQDA software was used to analyze the data and definite important thematic categories. The study concluded that transitional experiences were generally positive with some minor challenges. The transitional experiences helped the participants to enhance their presence on a personal level. On the professional level, it was an important factor in career development, and developing professional relations. On the scientific level, the experience gave its owners interdisciplinary research skills and improved writing and analysis skills. Most of the challenges were related to profession challenges, and poor salaries, but these challenges are related to the beginnings only. Participants presented their vision of the importance of social sciences to individuals, societies, countries, and other sciences fields. In addition, they presented their proposals to enhance the status of social sciences. |
