Abstract© 2018 IEEE. This paper explores the design and implementation of an autonomous surface vehicle (ASV) at Qatar University which includes mechanical design, image processing, control and navigation, and power management. A PID controller is designed for the heading control and waypoint control of the ASV and both simulation and experimental results are presented.
