AbstractThe boundary layer flow across a melting surface has gotten awesome consideration due to its inexhaustible pragmatic applications in nuclear reactor technology, acoustical components, chemical and manufacturing procedures. By keeping this in view, we analyzed the magnetohydrodynamic bio-convection Oldroyd-B nanofluid past a melting sheet with nonlinear thermal radiation and cross diffusion effects. Similarity transformations are used to convert the nonlinear PDEs as a group of nonlinear ODEs. R-K strategy based shooting technique is utilized to solve the converted equations. Numerical estimations of the physical parameters involved in the problem are calculated for the friction factor, reduced Nusselt, Sherwood numbers and the density of the motile microorganisms. It is found that the increasing difference of the microorganisms enhances the local density of the motile microorganisms and declines the heat transfer rate.
