AbstractThe apple‐peel type of jejunal atresia is the rarest form (1:50 000) of all small intestinal atresias. This anomaly is characterised by a proximal jejunal atresia associated with a typical coil‐shaped distal small bowel. It is a life‐treating condition but early recognition, timely surgery, and appropriate supportive therapy may be curative and allow for normal development and life. This was confirmed in our illustrative case.
