AbstractIn this review article, we present recent advancements in the field of organic photovoltaics (OPV) that have been achieved through the applications of quantum dots (QDs). We describe the leading experimental accomplishments reported in the literature so far regarding QD based OPV. Also, the limitations of QDs in OPV and possible solutions for enhanced power conversion efficiencies (PECs) have been discussed. 2017 Elsevier Ltd
