| Abstract | يجب أن ندرك أن اللغة العربية ليست مادة دراسية فحسب لكنها وسيلة لدراسة المواد الأخرى ، وقد لاحظ الباحث أن مقرر اللغة العربية 200 ، وهو أحد المقررات الإجبارية داخل جامعة قطر يُدرَّس لجميع كليات الجامعة للناطقين بالعربية بمحتوى واحد لجميع التخصصات ، وهذا بدوره يمكن أن يسبب صعوبة في اكتساب مهارات اللغة العربية ، وأيضاً يُهمل احتياجات الطلبة الأكاديمية في أثناء تدريس هذا المقرر .ولهذا صار الهدف الرئيسي لهذا البحث هو : إعداد تصور لمنهج في اللغة العربية 200 يتوافق مع التخصصات الجامعية المختلفة ، وقد بدأ الباحث بإعداده لطلبة القانون بجامعة قطر ، وهو منهج قائم على مدخل تعلُّم اللغة لأغراض أكاديمية. وقد اقتضت طبيعة هذا البحث وتحقيق الأغراض المستهدف منه أن يُعالج بالمنهج الوصفي من خلال إطاره النظري؛ لعرض ومناقشة الدراسات والأدبيات المتعلقة به، وبناء الأدوات اللازمة للتطبيق، وإعداد الوحدات الدراسية التي سيدرسها طلبة القانون. ويُتوقع أن يتم تنمية مهارات الكتابة الأكاديمية والتفكير الناقد بعد تطبيق هذا المنهج فعلياً. |

| Alternative Abstract | Arabic language is not only an academic course of study, but a means of studying other courses as well. The researcher found out that the Arabic language course (Arabic 200), which is one of the Core Curriculum courses at Qatar University is taught to all Arabic speaking students using the same content despite the different disciplines. This is believed to cause difficulty in students’ acquisition of the Arabic language skills and neglects their academic needs during the teaching of this course. Therefore, the main research goal is to use a new approach to prepare Arabic 200 course that corresponds to the needs of the different disciplines at Qatar University. The researcher began preparing Arabic 200 using a new approach that is based on teaching Arabic for academic purposes to law students at Qatar University. A descriptive analytical approach is used as a theoretical framework to achieve the research aims, review the literature, design the research instruments, and prepare the course content and assessment for law students. Academic writing skills and critical thinking are expected to be developed after the actual implementation of the newly developed course. |
