| Abstract | هدفت هذه الدراسة، إلى معرفة أثر طريقة التعليم التعاوني في تحصيل طلاب الصف العاشر، وتنمية مفهوم الذات لديهم، ولتحقيق ذلك سعت الدراسة إلى الإجابة عن السؤالين التاليين: الأول: هل يختلف تحصيل طلاب الصف العاشر في مادة الجغرافيا، باختلاف طريقة التدريس (تعاونية/ تقليدية)؟ الثاني: هل يختلف مفهوم الذات لدى طلاب الصف العاشر باختلاف طريقة التدريس (تعاونية/ تقليدية)؟ تكونت الدراسة من شعبتين: تعلمت الأولى، وحدة الاقاليم المناخية من كتاب الجغرافيا للصف العاشر، بطريقة التعليم التعاوني، وتعلمت الثانية الوحدة نفسها بالطريقة التقليدية. وقد خضع جميع أفراد العينة لاختبار تحصيل قبلي وبعدي، ولمقياس مفهوم الذات، طبق قبل التجربة وبعدها، ثم استخدم تحليل التباين الأحادي، متعدد المتغيرات المصاحب، لتحليل النتائج، وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى النتائج التالية: - يوجد فرق ذو دلالة احصائية في متوسط تحصيل الطلاب الذين تعلموا الجغرافيا بالطريقة التعاونية، ومتوسط تحصيل الطلاب الذين تعلموا بالطريقة التقليدية، لصالح طلاب الطريقة التعاونية. - لا يوجد فرق ذو دلالة احصائية في متوسط أداء المجموعتين على مقياس مفهوم الذات. وقد أوصت الدراسة، بأهمية استخدام الطريقة التعاونية في تعليم الجغرافيا، بالطريقة التي وردت في البحث، وتدريب المعلمين على إجراءاتها. |

| Alternative Abstract | This study aimed at identifying the effect of the cooperative learning method on 10th graders' achievement, and self - concept. The study attempted to answer two questions: 1 - Does the 10th graders' achievement in Geography differ according to the methol of teaching (cooperative/traditional)? 2 - Does the 10th graders' self - concept differ according to the method of teaching ( cooperative/traditional)? The study sample consisted of two groups. The first one learned the unit on Climatic Regions from the 10th graders' Geography textbook through the coop¬erative method, whereas the other group learned the same unit through the tradi¬tional method. All subjects took a pre- and post achievement test, and answered the self- con¬cept questionnaire before and after the experiment. One way MANCOV A analysis was applied, and the following results were obtained : a. There is a statistically significant difference in achievement between the two groups in favor of the group that learned through the cooperative method. b. There is no statistically significant difference between the two groups on the self- concept scale. The study suggests the need for using the cooperative method in teaching geog¬raphy, and the need for training teachers in this method. |
